ASHLEY SIEVERS is a mezzo-soprano hailing from Iowa, bringing a warm, expressive sound to both operatic and concert repertoire. She has performed with Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre, Northern Lights Music Festival, Opera Reading Project, The Simon Estes Young Artist Program, Lakes Area Music Festival, and has been a chorister with the Minnesota Opera Chorus for over ten seasons. Recent engagements include serving as the mezzo-soprano soloist for Vivaldi’s Gloria and appearing in the U.S. premiere of Hildigunnur Rúnarsdóttir’s Latin mass, Guðbrandsmessa, with the Valley Chamber Chorale. A former chair of the Vocal Arts Department at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, she continues to enjoy teaching whenever she can.
She holds degrees in Music Education from Iowa State University and Opera Performance from the University of Minnesota, and has been a student of Janet Alcorn and the late Mary Kay Schmidt.
