String Quartet Residency

The Lakes Area Music Festival is one of the fastest growing arts organizations in the nation. Set amongst the stunning beauty and lakeside recreation of central Minnesota, LAMF fosters the highest level of artistic excellence, while connecting its art and artists to a vibrant community of music lovers.

Our String Quartet Residency offers one emerging professional string quartet a paid summer of independent study and performance. Upon arrival, time in June will be spent in a rehearsal retreat, growing as an ensemble and building repertoire. During July your quartet will embark on a statewide performance tour and expand your community engagement experience with local outreach and education events. The Residency culminates in a recital at the opening of the annual Lakes Area Music Festival season.

We look forward to welcoming your quartet to Minnesota.
