Wesley Frye has been praised for his “big… sensitive,” and “handsome” tenor voice, receiving several laudatory reviews in Minneapolis for performances as Male Chorus in Benjamin Britten’s The Rape of Lucretia and Haydn’s Paukenmesse. An award-winning singer and collaborative pianist, he is a two-time Career Bridges Grant finalist, and was a second prize winner at the 2022 Sparks and Wiry Cries SongSLAM Festival in Chicago. In 2024, Wesley is making his New York debut with Chelsea Opera in their production of Glory Denied as Younger Thompson. He holds a MM in Voice Performance from the University of Minnesota.
