Robert Walker is currently Principal Clarinet of the Pacific Symphony. Previously, he played 2nd/Eb Clarinet in the Louisville Orchestra. Robert also plays frequently with the Saint Louis Symphony and has appeared with the symphony orchestras of Cleveland, Nashville, and Sarasota as well.
He has played in numerous festivals and seasonal groups over the years including the Artosphere Orchestra, the Sarasota Opera, the AIMS Festival in Graz, the National Repertory Orchestra, three years as a fellow at the Aspen Music Festival, and three years in the Young Artists Program at the Yellow Barn Music Festival.
As an educator, Robert has given masterclasses at Jersey City University, University of Louisville, and Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. While at Aspen, he collaborated with Orli Shaham on storyboarding and writing music for a children's show as part of her “Baby Got Bach” series.
Robert holds graduate degrees from the University of Southern California, studying with Yehuda Gilad, and an undergraduate degree from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Alan Kay and Charles Neidich.
