Robert P. Banks, Voice

Robert P. Banks is a young professional and new resident to Minnesota, living in Saint Paul with Undergraduate and Master’s Degrees in Vocal Performance. He has appeared with The Atlanta Opera as Giuseppe in La Traviata and French Soldier Number 1 in Silent Night. Banks made his TAO Studio Tour debut as The Witch in Hansel and Gretel under the direction of Brenna Corner in their 2019/20 season and returned to the touring stage for their 2021/22 season as Frederic in Bruno Baker’s adaptation of The Pirates of Penzance. He made his company debut with Atlanta Concert Opera as Don Basilio and Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro in their inaugural season. Before transitioning to tenor, Banks trained as a Baritone at Berry College and The University of Minnesota Duluth. The roles he performed include Papageno in The Magic Flute, Lord Enrico Ashton in Lucia di Lammermoor, Dr. Falke in Die Fledermaus, Frank Maurrant in Street Scene, Pirate King in The Pirates of Penzance, and Vicomte Cascada in Die Lustige Witwe.
