Pablo Sánchez, Violin

After a season as an acting member of the second violin section, Pablo Sánchez joined the North Carolina Symphony’s first violin section. Before moving to Raleigh, he was a substitute for the Los Angeles Philharmonic; he was previously a member of both the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Canton Symphony Orchestra from 2019-2021 while working on his master’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he was a student of Stephen Rose. His previous teachers include Carla Trynchuk and Jason Uyeyama.

Sánchez started his musical training in the conservatory of music at Montemorelos University in Mexico, where he studied with Nataliya Semanivska. He has received fellowships to attend summer music festivals at the Rocky Ridge Music Center and the Aspen Music Festival and School in Colorado and was named a Bank of America Fellow by the Sphinx Organization in 2020. Most recently he performed at Bravo! Vail Music Festival in Colorado with the “Sinfónica de Minería” orchestra.
