Mary Kettlewell, hailed as a “revelation on the stage” (Boulder Daily Camera) whose “gorgeous soprano soars” (The Austin Chronicle), has been praised for her vibrant vocal tone and charming and coquettish comic acting abilities. Ms. Kettlewell holds a Bachelor of Art in Music from the University of Missouri Columbia (2016) and a Masters in Voice Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder (2018). Originally from Columbia, Missouri, she has performed across the Midwest and beyond with Opera in the Ozarks, Opera NEO, Missouri Symphony Society, Boulder Bach Festival, Loveland Opera Theater, Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, Gilbert & Sullivan Austin, Consortium Carissimi, Opera Reading Project, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. Recent engagements include Billy Jo Casta in P.D.Q. Bach's Oedipus Tex with Crescendo Chorus and Zara in Arthur Sullivan's Utopia, Limited with the Gilbert & Sullivan Very Light Opera Company. Outside the world of music, Ms. Kettlewell serves as Director of Academic Administration at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Ms. Kettlewell is thrilled to join Lakes Area Music Festival this year as a chorus member in The Rake’s Progress.
