Choreographer, Karla Hughes has delighted audiences across the United States in opera, operetta, oratorio, musical theater, and theater. Credits from her performing career include Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Michigan Opera Theatre, Despina in Così fan tutte with Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof with The Ohio Light Opera, Adele in Die Fledermaus with Winter Opera of St. Louis, the Soprano Soloist in Carmina Burana with the Toledo Ballet, and Sophie in Terrence McNally’s Master Class with Chamber Theatre of Milwaukee. Choreography credits include The Yeoman of the Guard for The Ohio Light Opera, La belle Helen for Lakes Area Music Festival, and operatic scenes programs for Wichita State University and Viterbo University. Karla is an Associate Professor of Theatre and Music Theatre at Viterbo University and lives in La Crosse Wisconsin with her husband and two dogs.
