I was fortunate to grow up in a family that valued classical music, so it has always been part of my fabric. Added to that over time were interests in research as well as sense of community. My participation on the LAMF board allows me to combine these elements. I am especially interested in assisting the Festival in charting its course and monitoring its progress, as well as exploring ways in which the Festival can engage the community and help foster Brainerd area residents’ sense of community pride. I see the Festival as a unique and powerful agent for good in the Lakes Area and beyond.
