Alex Chambers-Ozasky, Cello

Originally from the Twin Cities, Alex Chambers-Ozasky enjoys a multifaceted career as an orchestral, chamber, and solo musician based in Madison, WI. Alex is a core member with the Madison Symphony Orchestra. He also performs regularly with the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, Quad City Symphony Orchestra, and Orchestra Iowa. An avid chamber musician, Alex serves as cellist for the Galaxy String Quartet, performing eclectic repertoire throughout Wisconsin. In the fall of 2025, Alex appeared as a soloist with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and Wisconsin Philharmonic, performing the Boccherini and Schumann cello concertos, respectively. In the upcoming season, Alex will appear again with La Crosse, performing the C.P.E. Bach cello concerto in A Major. He will also be performing the Brahms Double Concerto with the Middleton Community Orchestra in the spring.

Alex earned his Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, where he studied with Joseph Johnson, Principal cellist of the Toronto Symphony. Alex holds a Bachelor’s in Music Performance from DePaul University, and a Master’s from University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was awarded a fellowship position in the graduate Hunt String Quartet. In his free time, Alex loves playing pickleball, watching and discussing movies, eating, and laughing with friends and family.
