Adam Phan is the newly appointed Principal Harpist of the New York City Ballet Orchestra and a graduate of the Artist Diploma program at the Juilliard School where he studied with Nancy Allen. During his time at Juilliard he was awarded a silver medal at the Hong Kong International Harp Competition, a winner of the Anne Adams American Harp Society Awards, recipient of the Kovner Fellowship, and was a recipient of the Fendi Vanguard Award. Adam has a budding orchestral career often performing as guest harpist with the New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Opera, Dallas Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Seattle Symphony, and the Fort Worth Symphony. Outside of the harp Adam has a strong love for food and daily walks with his dog Angel!
