Enjoy a contemporary take on Vivaldi’s classic while getting a sneak peek behind the scenes of Brainerd’s new performing arts center! This year’s season-opening Musicians' Gala will feature returning violin soloist Itamar Zorman alongside a string orchestra led by our new music director Christian Reif, with pre-concert food and beverage opportunities bringing you backstage – and centerstage – to explore our state of the art new home. You’ll also have opportunities to show your support for the concert, education, and outreach programs of the Lakes Area Music Festival which run autumn, winter, spring, and summer. Join us for our first live concert in a year and help kick off the 2021 season!
Each year our first concert serves as our largest fundraiser of the year. This performance is a ticketed event. Your support through purchasing tickets, participating in the auctions, and making a gift ensure our ability to attract the extraordinary talents and wonderful people who make up the LAMF artistic roster.

7 p.m. Enjoy gourmet dessert bar and beverages inspired by the four seasons; silent auction; backstage tours of the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Performing Arts; and mingling with the extraordinary musicians of the Lakes Area Music Festival.
8:15 p.m. Become the first audience members to experience the world-renowned music of LAMF in our new summer home. This concert features Tchaikovsky competition-winning violinist Itamar Zorman with Christian Reif in his first concert as LAMF's new music director! The program will include live auction and an opportunity to make a gift to support LAMF.
9:30 p.m. The evening comes to an end– and we look forward to seeing you often throughout our 2021 season!
