LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN:String Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, no. 1
To kick off the Prelude Series we welcome members of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for a weekend in Aitkin (July 9) and Nisswa (July 10). These musicians will collaborate on Beethoven's very first string quartet, a pizzicato-filled piece called Strum by living American composer Jessie Montgomery, and the famous Adagio from Samuel Barber's String Quartet. This program is great to audiences of all ages, long-time LAMF fans or first-timers! No tickets required; donations accepted at the door.
