Violist Deanna Anderson, a native of Minneapolis, is a freelance performer and teacher currently based in Paris, France. She obtained a performance degree in June 2015 from the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP). Ms. Anderson also holds a master's degree from the Juilliard School, and a bachelor's degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
In solo, orchestral, and chamber music settings, Ms. Anderson has performed at the Cervo Internationale Sommerakademie (Italy), Oberstdorf Musiksommer (Germany), the Juilliard ChamberFest, Festival Internacional de Inverno de Campos do Jordão (Brazil), the Perlman Music Program Chamber Music Workshop, and the Aspen Music Festival and School. Ms. Anderson has also recently performed with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Orquestra de Cámara Galega (Spain). In Paris, Ms. Anderson performs frequently for the Sinfonietta Paris chamber music series. Through the Conservatoire de Paris, she has performed in collaboration with the Ensemble Intercontemporain with conductor Mattias Pintscher, and has participated in numerous small-ensemble contemporary music projects. Ms. Anderson is dedicated to education and outreach. In addition to maintaining an active private studio in Paris, she taught for the Music Advancement Program at the Juilliard School and the Stringwood Summer Chamber Music program in southern Minnesota. She also frequently performs in community venues such as libraries, hospitals, and retirement homes.
