Minnesota native Lynn Erickson has been second trumpet of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra since 1991. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, having earned both Master of Fine Arts and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees. Erickson has made four recordings with the Summit Hill Brass Quintet, the most recent of which was the 2003 release, Sugar Plums-Christmas with The Summit Hill Brass Quintet. Erickson has also premiered and recorded a work for solo trumpet by Libby Larsen entitled Fanfare for the Women. She is an active Twin Cities freelance performer whose credits include the Minnesota Orchestra and Broadway productions at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. Erickson is the principal trumpet and a board member of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. She currently holds adjunct faculty status at both Augsburg and Macalester Colleges.
